Our music program offers a hands-on approach to learning music. Students will sing, create, perform and explore the many genres and techniques within music!
In late Spring, students have a music concert combined with an art show. Each grade level performs two songs for families and the school. This event showcases the learning students have done in art and music throughout the year.

Mrs. Katz
Hello! I'm Mrs. Katz and I have the pleasure of teaching Music at Washington Elementary School. I have been involved in music since I was three years old. When I was 18, I chose to study music education at UMass Lowell, where I received my bachelor's and master's degrees. I began teaching in 2010, where I was a middle school band and general music teacher for a short time before becoming the music teacher at the Washington School.
In my class, we sing, dance, play games, play instruments and learn about music by making music. I'm a firm believer in hands-on learning and I provide opportunities during each class for students to experience music by doing!
When I'm home, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and pets. I enjoy board games, video games, art, watching tv, swimming, baking and learning new skills.
